Aros' music is a rhythmically compelling blend of jazz, classical and new music ideas, including hints of tango, minimalism, and improv.

Aros' debut, self-titled CD was released in June 2001 on the Dutch label BVHaast (CD 1101), and has had an enthusiastic response in Europe and North America. The group has performed at the Vienna Music Gallery (contemporary music festival), the BIM Huis (top Amsterdam jazz venue), the Stedelijk Museum (Amsterdam's Museum of Modern Art), The North Sea Jazz Festival. Aros toured Canada in the summer 2002 and Nov. 2003, including performances at the Toronto Downtown Jazz Festival and the Vancouver International Jazz Festival.
Aros is co-lead by Rob Armus and Marion von Tilzer, their collective influences and experience span a wide range of music from American jazz and improvised music, to European classical and new music, to African and South American music.
Aros' SACD Train Song is out on Songlines records.
